Ohtsuki Noh Theatre lends its stage out for events other than Noh performances.
Established in 1935 by Juzo Ohtsuki, Ohtsuki Noh Theatre was rebuilt in its current form in 1983. Surviving the war unscathed, this theater has been cherished for decades as a sanctuary for Noh performances in Osaka. Said to be the oldest performing art still in existence, Noh play has been declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Having renovated seats, exterior, and restrooms, Ohtsuki Noh Theatre hopes to continue to play a vital role as a living theater of the home of Noh play, and as a place for expressing a variety of cultures utilizing its unique space.
