A Culmination of Osaka's Food and MICE Industries
The 13th Hotel & Restaurant Show ('Hoteres') and FOODEX Japan in Kansai 2021, attended by over 4,000 people over 3 days!
From Wednesday, July 14 to Friday, July 16, 2021, Osaka saw the return of the Hotel & Restaurant Show at INTEX Osaka as the 13th "Hoteres," held alongside FOODEX Japan in Kansai. This 3-day exhibition was a culmination of two of Osaka's strengths: the food industry and the MICE events industry. Amid the cancellations and postponements that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought, the event was able to safely held thanks to safety measures and practices put in place by the organizers.
A large event with 82 companies at 119 booths, the exhibition proved to be a success with 4,032 visitors over the course of the three days. Exhibitors interacted with visitors with energetic promotional and sales talks. The event also featured a seminar stage, hosting talks ranging from new food technologies to sustainable practices as well as trends within the industry. These talks from many different speakers attracted many listeners. The event was a smooth and safe success and vibrantly showcased Osaka's appeal as a foodie destination.
In order to promote the revival of the MICE industry that will come from Osaka and to instigate economic recovery, the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau strives to support the organizers of all current and future MICE events.
